Anim Blueprint Editor

Highlights the core features of the Anim Blueprint Editor in Unreal Engine 4.

The Animation Blueprint Editor is where you specify the logic the drives your character's animations and can be accessed by opening any Animation Blueprint from the Content Browser (or from the Editor Toolbar). This editor is very similar to working with the Blueprint Editor as it uses the same visual node based scripting system with an emphasis on animation features like managing animation State Machines, using Blend Nodes to control Blending Animations, or direct Skeletal Control through script.

For more information on working with Animation Blueprints and the Animation Blueprint Editor, refer to the Animation Blueprints documentation.

Welcome to the new Unreal Engine 4 Documentation site!

We're working on lots of new features including a feedback system so you can tell us how we are doing. It's not quite ready for use in the wild yet, so head over to the Documentation Feedback forum to tell us about this page or call out any issues you are encountering in the meantime.

We'll be sure to let you know when the new system is up and running.
