6. Blackboard Setup

Adding the needed Key Values to the Runner Blackboard.

The Blackboard is the memory of the Behavior Tree. Here we will store a reference to the Actor we should flee from and a location to flee to.

Steps

  1. Double-click the Blackboard asset in the Content Browser.

  2. Using the New Key button newKey_button.png , add a Vector key named FleeToLocation.

  3. Add an Object key named ActorToFleeFrom.

  4. Save your Blackboard asset.
