Creating an Animation Montage

Overview of creating an Animation Montage for use within Blueprints and Animation Blueprints.

This page covers the different ways in which you can create an Animation Montage using animation assets.

Steps

  1. In the Content Browser of your project, click the Add New button (or right-click in the Content Browser) and choose Animation > Animation Montage.

  2. Select the Skeleton asset that you want to use for the Animation Montage.

  3. Enter a name for your newly created Animation Montage.

  4. Double-click to open your new Animation Montage to begin editing.

End Result

After creating your Animation Montage, you can open it and it will appear empty (below).

From here you can begin editing your Animation Montage asset to reach your desired effect.

You can also right-click any Animation Sequence asset and create an Animation Montage from the asset.

When opening a Montage you have created from the right-click method, the animation will automatically be added to the Montage.
