VR Performance and Profiling

Tools and strategies for profiling your virtual reality projects in UE4

Because of the hardware requirements of virtual reality, as well as the stronger impact poor performance can have on your users' comfort, maintaining good VR project performance is key. Unreal Engine 4 contains a suite of tools that allow you to view the performance of your project on both the CPU and the GPU. By interpreting those results, and then applying best content and gameplay code practices, you can provide the best possible experience with your project.

Welcome to the new Unreal Engine 4 Documentation site!

We're working on lots of new features including a feedback system so you can tell us how we are doing. It's not quite ready for use in the wild yet, so head over to the Documentation Feedback forum to tell us about this page or call out any issues you are encountering in the meantime.

We'll be sure to let you know when the new system is up and running.
