High quality, customizable modern pistol with simple animations
Recent updates:
07/01/2023 - version 1.1 - "Redux" update:
Rework of the original model: new parts, new textures, better mesh quality and much more. Below are the main changes:
There are other small fixes and changes. Although the new model is similar to the old one, they are not compatible. The new model has it's own skeleton, animations and textures. You can still find the old model in the separate folder and use it without any problems. Bullets has been moved to folder with the "Redux" version of the gun and old gun material is now an instance of "Redux" Master Material. For easy management all Redux assets are named with "RV100" prefix.
Redux is compatible with the same engine versions.
08/09/2022 - version 1.0.1:
V100 Redux is high quality, realistic looking modern pistol suitable for fps and other games. It's highly customizable and easy to use in your project. Pistol is built from modular skeletal meshes, all sharing one skeleton. Static parts (static meshes) are attached to the proper sockets and all of this is already assembled in Blueprint actor - it will let you change materials and visible parts of the weapon in a very simple way using properties panel. There's no reason to dive into BP editor, but if you like to, everything it's very well organised and commented.
Model comes with 9mm ammunition for it - full cartridge, shell + few bullets merged together to put in magazine.
Except the default material, there are optional ones: Silver Metallic, ArmyGreen, NavyBlue, CoyoteBrown and White. If you would like to get more variations, check out my Colorizer master material - it will let you quick and easy make hundreds of skins for this weapon. V100 Redux comes with 2 ColorID textures that you can use with Colorizer, but it's very easy to create new textures without paid software (tutorial is included in Colorizer).
The magazine consists of 5 parts:
There are 3 sights to choose from:
Both Tritium and Fiber have been given their own master materials: Emissive and Fiber + Instances: Green and Red. Both materials are very easy to edit, so you can create more colours of your choice.
There are 2 barrels:
For threaded barrel, you can fit an optional Thread Protector, but it's not essential.
As I mentioned, everything is already prepared in Blueprint. If you want the magazine to look empty - just tick the box. Want to change the sights? Just select one from the drop-down list. The same goes for barrels and materials (for gun and sights).
If you want to use the pistol as a static prop, skeletal meshes are also available as static meshes. All parts have the same origin point, so it's very easy to put them together.
In the Skeletal folder there is example Skeletal mesh with all the necessary parts already assembled (standard configuration). This is only an example. All parts for modular build can be found in the Modular folder.
The Pistol Rigg contains the following bones (movable parts) and sockets:
Prefix for bones is b_name; prefix for sockets is s_name.
And following animations (without character's arms):
