Pixel Streaming Demo

Epic Games - Feb 24, 2019

The Pixel Streaming example shows how you can make an Unreal Engine application running on a remote computer stream its output to client Web browsers on desktop and mobile devices.

  • Supported Platforms
  • Supported Engine Versions
    4.22 - 4.27
  • Download Type
    Complete Project
This product contains a full Unreal Engine project folder, complete with Config files, Content files and .uproject file, which can be used as a template to create a new project.
With the Pixel Streaming Plugin, introduced in Unreal Engine 4.21, you can run your Unreal Engine application on a remote computer and stream its rendered output to modern Web browsers running on any platform.

Broadcast your content to multiple viewers without requiring any downloads or installation. Achieve high-quality rendering that would otherwise be impossible on lightweight browsers and mobile devices — using highly detailed models (like the Paragon characters in this example), complex shaders, post-processing effects, high rendering resolutions, and more. And create unique Web experiences that blend the frames generated by the Unreal Engine into your own HTML5 UI.

This sample contains an Unreal Engine Project that is already set up to use the Pixel Streaming Plugin, and an HTML player page that provides viewers with additional customized controls over content and stream quality.
