Kismet Visual Scripting


Scripting gameplay events within levels is a very important aspect of creating interesting and interactive environments for the player. It would not be as efficient if programmers were required to implement the ideas of level designer. The Kismet visual scripting system puts the power in the hands of the level designer to create events that range from simple to extremely complex. The concept is simple: the designer links actions to be executed when certain events occur in-game. The results are a flexible, powerful system that can be used for anything from prototyping gameplay or even entire gametypes to creating simple moving actors such as doors.
